Preloader

Preloader, which can be found here, is the "industry standard" Wii brick prevention. It only helps with bricks that affect the System Menu, though that does include Banner Bricks and CSM Bricks, as well as some other, less common bricks. If you don't have Preloader, we don't suggest installing ANY custom channels or custom themes. Preloader works on Wii Menu 3.0-4.2, and all version in between, as long as you have an IOS that accepts fakesigning.

BootMii

BootMii is the full brick protection package. Except for a few, very rare, bricks, BootMii can recover from anything. So, of course you want it now, right? The first public beta is now available! Check out http://bootmii.org/ as well as http://hackmii.com/2009/05/bootmii_beta_1/ for more info.

It only works on Wii's with a vulnerable Boot1 (from before around mid-2008). You can use BootMii Checker from HackMii to check if you can use BootMii. Now that it is released, I suggest installing!
