From WADder Wiki
One day, icefire came home, and looked back at the Wii Homebrew community, six months after his last visit. The next day, he planned a new application, to automate the process of creating custom channels. He told the folks at GBATemp about it, and after a few problems with the automated timings (after beta testing) WADder 1.0 was released around 15th of December, to create static channels using heavy AutoIt automation. Shortly after, improvements were made, WADder 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.2 etc were released. These were more user friendly, and also had more n00b protection as well as sound looping. They were still based on automation of the tools by Gally, and contained in many scripts and batch files. As WADder was expanding rapidly and breaking out of GBATemp, DJTaz offered to host the site and buy the domain name for us all, and the WADder Forums were created.
Then, icefire decided it was time for a change. He spent a long time writing the UI for WADder 2.0, but then gave up when he almost left the Wii Scene because of boredom. After a while, he found out about Wii Theming, which was still in its early stages. He decided he MUST write a tool to help health screen creation. This eventually led, after only one Wii bricked (and recovered), to Healthii 1.0, which later was released as Healthii 1.1 and 1.2. This program was also a nasty AutoIt hack, and was icefire's last one to date.
After that, icefire started work on WADder 2.0 again, with a changed feature list. He eventually released it as WADder 2.0 rc3, as it still had the bug that caused Channel images to appear fuzzy. Because of that, he started work on u8it to fix this issue, which it did. He also had to write his own TPL Files Converter to make images with Transparency.
